A and T's new room...

T and A have been sharing a room for about two years now.  When our sweet little man came, I would go in and find them sleeping together in T's room.  They had their own rooms, but I guess they just wanted to be together.  It makes me very happy that they wanted to share a room. I think its very sweet! They have completely different tastes and I had know idea how I was going to make it work. They both LOVE the beach (just like their mommy) and the ideas started flowing.  First on my list was the colors.  I love how gray and yellow look together.  I found a beautiful gray from  Benjamin Moore called Coventry Gray.  I love it!  Not too blue or green, just a really calm gray.  My awesome friend Seth made them the most BEAUTIFUL bunk beds ever!  My sweet hubby painted them a few shades lighter then the Coventry Gray.  I love how they turned out!  Then, I found some really cute yellow and white comforters from Target.  I also found some really sweet gray sheet sets there.  Then, I found some awesome milk crates from Target that fit perfectly under the beds.  Oh how I love TARGET!!!!  I made some hot pink and yellow flower balls that I hung up in the corner.  The frames that I used were frames that I already had and I just painted them white and distressed them a bit.  Everything I used on the walls are items that I already had and I just used them in different ways.  I also printed out a 11x14 poster of a pic that I took of a daisy and I love how it turned out.  The girls are loving their new room!  It's so fresh and sweet.

Here are some pics of their new room:  PS: My little man wouldn't get out of my shot.  Lol!

Our kitchen redo...Love it!

I'm super excited to FINALLY have our kitchen finished!  If you know me really well, you know that I ADORE the beach.  I was trying to go for a beachy-cottage look.  I painted the walls a really pretty blue/gray/green color called comfort gray.  I love it!  It's really calm and soothing.  I painted our cabinets white and distressed them a bit.  Love how they turned out!  I'm sorry I don't have a before pic, but I can tell you it was a little boring.  I wanted something light and beachy feeling.  We used small tiles from Home Depot that were $.29 a piece.  We had our tile guys place them in a subway formation.  We found a really pretty laminate counter top that was very cost effective and looks great!  It's hard to see in the pic, but the color looks like sand with white speckles in it.  I think they turned out awesome!  We also saved up for our lovely stainless appliance's.  Love the look, I don't like the fingerprints!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new burlap roman shades!  My sweet friends mama made these beautiful shades for me.  She did such a wonderful job!  I think they really pull everything together. We worked really hard on our kitchen.  It has been a work in progress for a long time.  We did everything with a small budget.   Here are a few close up pics.

My beautiful roman shades.  Love them!

Our anniversary trip to Florida

Me and my hubby decided to take a lovely trip to Florida for our "ten year anniversary".  My wonderful mama came down and stayed with my kiddo's so we could go enjoy our time together at the beach.  We went for four wonderful nights.  We had taken a family vacation  few years ago to Destin  and we fell in love with it.  We visited a stunning little town called Seaside, and we were hooked!  This little town has white picked  fences everywhere!  This town has a beautiful church, school, garden, and the most beautiful houses with huge front porches and screened in back porches. It has my name written all over it!  I would live there in a minute if I could.  This time, we stayed in a sweet little town called Santa Rosa beach.  It's between Seaside and Destin.  Seaside is very pricey so we decided to try this little town.  It was super cute with a lot of great shops, restaurants, and  a stunning beach.  We rented a little one bedroom condo that had a beautiful view of the beach.  While my hubby went kiaking I stayed at the beach with my umbrella, hat, and my book.  I was one happy girl!  He also went deep sea fishing.  He had a blast!   He went out for six hours.   While he was fishing I went antique shopping and enjoyed hanging out on the beach reading.  We enjoyed finding really cool places to eat dinner.  We found the most beautiful restaurants with awesome views.  I will never forget our time there together!  It's funny how you long to get a little break from your kids, but after a few days without them, you want them with you.

Here are some pics from our awesome trip:
